Dr. Laura (Greenawalt) Leautier grew up in the small town of Milton, West Virginia. She was the youngest of five siblings. After graduating from Milton High School, she attended the Ohio State University, where she received her B.S. in Zoology in 1987 and her D.V.M. degree in 1991. After practicing in Greensboro, North Carolina for a year and a half, she moved to Reno to be with her love, Pierre. She joined the Baring family in May of 1993. Laura and Pierre married in 1994 and had their son Wyatt in 1998. Their daughter Cooper was born in 2000. After going part-time at Baring after her children were born, she was a technical editor for the journal Veterinary Medicine for 10 years.
Her professional interests include preventative care, dentistry, general surgery, and reproductive medicine. She loves her time at Baring, but when she’s not here, she regenerates (recoups?!) at home by reading, fishing, and camping with her family, which includes Bailey, her labradoodle. Gone, but not forgotten, are her labs Remy and Rumor.
